Sunday Stroll

Mr. B and I took the boys on a Sunday evening walk.
It was wonderful.. and beautiful.
We couldn't help but take some pics.
I love sharing a hobby with my husband.

As you may have already noticed, I love the sun.
Some people edit the sun spots (aka: lens flare) out of their pictures. I don't. I love them.
I love the spots. I love the haze, the color, the hue. I love it all.

Happy Monday!

And the winner is..

So, I am old fashioned.
I wrote each person's name on a piece of paper (one paper for each of the 3 steps completed) and drew them from a bowl.

And the winner is...

Jon Niu.. you are the lucky winner!  (I'm feeling a little like a game-show host right now)
I'll contact you and we'll talk details.

I will do more giveaways.
So, the rest of you, stay tuned.

Have a nice weekend.

The small things.

I saw these animals carved from wood at a local farmer's market last weekend and had to get them for my two-year-old.
They are his new favorite.

Don't forget about the giveaway.. ends Saturday.

Karren and Matthew's Luncheon

Matthew and Karren are such a cute couple.
They got married out of state but held a luncheon here in Utah that I was lucky enough to shoot.
They are wonderful and obviously madly in love.
Here are a few pictures from the luncheon.
I felt like the vintage look just "fit" with the images I am posting, but I threw in a few colors for this post as well.

Don't forget to enter the GIVEAWAY by leaving a comment in the giveaway post just below this one.
Giveaway ends Saturday.

I love this picture! Classic.

Her dress was SO pretty!

GIVEAWAY TIME!!!!

So, I know this blog is new.. but it's a little lonely.
And that is why I have decided to do a GIVEAWAY!
So I can see how many people really do read this blog.
The winner of this giveaway will receive one free mini session.
My mini sessions can last up to an hour and include 10-20 of the best images on a CD.

You can have up to 3 chances of winning and this is how:

*First just leave me a comment on this post telling me why you want a free session.

*For  second chance to win, become a "Follower" of this blog and then leave me another comment telling me you are a follower.
(If you already are a follower, just leave me a comment telling me so.)

*Lastly, for a third chance, head on over to facebook and "like" Dancing Toad Photography's facebook page. (works the same as "become a fan" used to)
Then comment here again saying you did it. (If you already are a "liker" of our facebook page, just tell me so)

So if you did all three, you should have left 3 separate comments. Each comment will be put in the drawing.
GIVEAWAY ENDS SATURDAY - 6/19/2010

Also, I am still desperately trying to catch up on all of my editing. This adorable couple's pics are coming soon!

About

For the most part, my posts have been short and simple up until now.
I've decided that I should tell you a little bit about myself.
There is no specific order to all of this.. just a bunch of random tid bits.
I usually just put my own images on this site, but due to lack of time and actually having the items on hand, I had to borrow some.
References to where I got the pictures are at the bottom of this post.

I am a lover of music, I don't play it.. or sing it in public..though I wish I could, I just listen to it.
And dance with my boys to it.

Speaking of my boys.. I love them. With all my heart.

There is something about fresh paper that is just wonderful to me. Writing in a brand new notebook.. mmm...

Ice Cream is my weakness. Big time.

Obviously, I LOVE taking photos.  I have had some formal education in photography but my degree is Deaf Studies and American Sign Language.

I dream of adopting a baby.. or two. Future pregnancies aren't an option for me.

I have a secret love of Pop-tarts and Ramen Noodles. Not together, that would be gross.

I love camping.. and fishing (even though I'm not very good at it.)

I am often paranoid. I put my little ones to bed several hours before I head to bed myself but I always check on them one last time before I lay to sleep.

Going on a run is relaxing to me.  And a run in the rain is even better.
(this is me running a half marathon in-between two men that are, apparently, very much taller than myself)

I have a bad habit of caring what other people think of me. I am working on breaking that now.

I have another bad habit of building up clutter.  I hate to admit it but I am a cluttery person.

I believe in this.

To me, there is nothing better than butterfly kisses.

I enjoy traveling, so much. After High School I lived in Tennessee, New York/Connecticut, China, Utah and was planning a trip to Africa until my soon-to-be husband came along and drastically changed those plans.

Remarkable

Don't live down to expectations.  Go out there and do something remarkable.
 ~Wendy Wasserstein

This is my son a few days after he was born,
with my husband's wedding ring around his wrist.
He is almost one year old now.
He is my fighter. My miracle.
He makes me want to do remarkable things and accomplish more than what is expected of me.
Because he has.

Just sharing some of my thoughts of today.
That's all.
 Have a nice day!

Karren and Matthew

As soon as I get a little more caught up I will post some of Matthew and Karren's pictures.
This cute couple was married out of state but had a wedding luncheon here in Utah that I had the opportunity to cover.
It was beautiful. And so are they.

I fell in love with this video today.

Thought I would share.

Pause my music on the bottom of this page before playing.

you have an obligation to be one.

Gabriel

 What a fun little one-year-old!

He was excited by this opportunity to play with his mom's hair.
